The final installment from Metavari's original full band line-up.
The "Studies" volumes are a series of compositions scored to collections of field recordings. The recordings are taken by Metavari; cataloguing sounds and experiences from tour. In May 2009, Metavari toured 14 U.S. cities with advanced copies of Be One of Us and Hear No Noise and captured the recordings for this volume. Loosen the Bands was written in the months following and is the first piece in the "Studies" series.
The piece is divided into three breaths – part one titled, "HR1948-1949," part 2, "HR1903," and the final breath, "HR1851-1852."

"You cut our income - you don't get our goods. All our releases soon will be blocked in the United States."
Was the message the Band sent on 6th March as a response to - presumably - the sanctions on Russia for its invasion in Ukraine. Classy, I wish I had known that before I bought their first album. marongue

In my opinion this is the darkest atmosphere that Pertubator has ever created, and it makes the songs feel extra intense because of it. I love how the rhythm of the song is switched around so often, definitely a very unique EP and also amongst my favourite darksynth records. zWarhead
